The pawn player has the advantage.  Use the keypad digits, or if you prefer, q w e a d z x c to move the king.  7 and q move the king diagonally up and left, 8 and w move straight up, 9 and e move diagonally up and right, 4 and a move left, 6 and d move right, 2 and x move down, 1, z, 3, and c are diagonally down, either left (1 and z) or right (3 and c).  You can undo moves by typing 'u'.
